Choosing the right gliders for your Silent Gliss Curtain pole or track

We often get asked which glider to select when purchasing a Silent Gliss Curtain Pole or Track. So here is a quick guide to each option.

Standard glider NEW 2C glider:

The Silent Gliss 2C gliders are perfect for light-medium weight curtains.

These are friction gliders, solid glider which runs through the track channel when the curtain is pulled. The Silent Gliss 2C glider is very quiet.

Roller Gliders

Roller Gliders run on wheels for a smoother running operation. We recommend roller gliders for heavy curtains, tracks with a join or very large windows.

The Silent Gliss 1280 curtain track and Silent Gliss 3900 curtain track come with roller gliders as standard - you can also upgrade to roller gliders on many of the Silent Gliss Tracks

60mm-Wave Gliders:

The 60mm wave glider allows for shorter, fatter waves, but you will have more of a curtain stack when the curtains are opened. These are only suitable for wave curtains.

80mm-Wave Gliders:

The 80mm glider projects the curtain into the room more and allows less stack. These are only suitable for wave curtains.

Wave Roller Gliders:

These are only really needed on very heavy wave curtains. A typical domestic specification would be fine with the standard wave gliders.

As standard, you will receive 1 glider per every 10cm and always an even number. If you are ordering a 175cm track, you will receive 18 gliders. If you require more gliders you can purchase compatible gliders individually.
