Curtain poles are perfect if you want to really make a statement with your curtains. They’re designed to be more prominent than tracks and come in a variety of colours and finishes, adding the all-important final touch to your room.
Whether your home is modern and minimal or more traditional, you’ll find a curtain pole to suit your style. We offer some of the best quality products available, from stainless steel rods and poles for eyelet curtains, to models with gliders like the 6120 and 6130 Silent Gliss curtain poles.
Made to Measure Curtain Poles
Our bespoke curtain poles come in a range of diameters from 19mm to 50mm. However, you don’t necessarily need a larger pole for heavier curtains. Base your choice on how prominent you’d like the curtain pole to be.
With tall windows and high ceilings, try a pole which will stand out more. A 50mm diameter is perfect for poles which will be fitted 5m from the floor.
If you’re hanging floor-length curtains and fitting them lower down, a 30mm pole will stand out enough to be seen and not be overpowered by the curtain.
With short net curtains, the 23mm pole may be more suitable.
For eyelet curtains, the choice of diameter will largely depend on the size of the eyelets.
Operating Your Curtain Pole
Traditional poles use rings to hold the curtains in place, but there are also poles with gliders which operate more like curtain tracks. We even have electric models which use buttons, remote controls, light sensors and timers to control the curtains.
Curtain poles with gliders, such as the Silent Gliss Metropole, are great at carrying heavy curtains. They operate smoothly and make handling bulky fabrics a breeze. Choose between the corded Silent Gliss 6120 and the uncorded 6130.
Corded curtain poles are useful if you struggle to reach the top of your curtains to open and close them. Additionally, they can be used for delicate fabrics that could be damaged by frequent handling. You can also add roller gliders if the curtains are heavy.
The curtain poles with rings on this page have been specially designed to take heavy curtains and can be bent to suit bay windows. The Bradbury Pole can also be used with eyelet curtains for a more modern feel.
